When life gets busy, you still deserve a meal that tastes like it took all day. This easy weeknight chicken recipe is seasoned generously with our Heart and Soul Seasoning — a blend that brings warmth, depth, and that unmistakable soul food flavor to every bite.
⏱ Cook Time: 30 minutes | 🍽 Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons Heart and Soul Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season generously. Pat chicken thighs dry and coat all sides with Heart and Soul Seasoning. Don't be shy — this is where the flavor lives.
- Sear for golden skin. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin-side down and sear for 5–6 minutes until deeply golden. Flip and sear 3 more minutes.
- Build the sauce. Remove chicken temporarily. Add butter and garlic to the pan, sauté 1 minute. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits.
- Finish in the oven. Return chicken to the pan. Bake at 400°F for 18–20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Rest and serve. Let rest 5 minutes, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
